I hope he is not in the team. Just rest him for the whole game. Don't want any temptations to rush him back

Wouldn't it be best if he played a game before the Barcelona game. Not saying he should start v Everton, but I'd imagine Pep would ideally want him to get a few minutes under his belt.

Suspect we'll leave it till last minute and see how he does in training this week.

There's been a few reports but nothing that seems reliable

Ah! That's where you had me. Don't think he should stsrt against Barca either. That should be his first time on the bench and perhaps get a substitute appearance late. Kinda like what Sane gets now. Then at Southampton we can talk :)
