Defence was pretty good today unless he can play left back that is,to be honest if he couldn't play left back he'd be an improvement on what we have now.Happy to state the obvious.

You are quite right in what you say.
However, I was more getting at we need his leadership and fight. Something I think we currently lack.

He's another who should be moved on in the summer, he's spent the last two years injured, and he's no good to us being constantly on the treatment table.

Sadly, I don't think he'll ever be that again. Having said that, it doesn't mean he should be sold. Good back up
A good back up is a player who is always available and can be relied upon to come on and do a job.
That is not VK. He'd be useless as a back up.

Understand your point mate, but we can't keep him out of sentiment because he's a club legend.
