Comfortably the best right back in the league. Hopefully Pep can take him to the next level and make it so in Europe.

He has some qualities that are hard to define, just seems to make good decisions on the ball, doesn't give up possession cheaply, wins it back quickly, makes good runs and takes up good positions.

He's not a spectacular crosser or a fullback who'll score often, which is probably why I underrated him before he arrived, but he's still a massive asset in attack because of those qualities.

We sign Sterling and Ibe is better , we sign Walker and Trippier is the better player , opposing supporters not recognising or acknowledging excellent players is a sure sign of their bitterness , although to be fair clubs losing their very best players to big bad City must hurt. As for Walker tonight , brilliant , his crossing was not 100% but every other aspect of his play was faultless.

He is going to be special for us. He is so quick and I seems like Pep has given him the instruction (like he appears to have given everyone) to be aggressive cuz every time the ball came in his area, he was aggressively pressing his opponent. He was so quick to close his man down. Like him alot!

Very early days but sounds like Alves' jumping ship may have been a blessing in disguise.
