im asking a question on behalf of a friend.she has a laptop and a pc.both use xp and both wireless connections.the laptop constantly loses connection where as the pc dosnt.the laptop is newer than the pc.any basic ideas as to why most welcome.

Either a problem with the WiFi router/ card or a software problem. Try re-installing the drivers first. Then try recalibrating the router. If both of these methods dont resolve the problem, they try looking into hardware issues with the Wi Fi card in the laptop as the router doesnt seem to have a problem since its working on the PC
