MES, 1874 Northwich and Northwich Vics are two different teams. 1874 have only been going 5 years so this is the furthest there been in the FA cup.

I know, it was just a habit in calling them that - mate of mine I worked with late 80's / early 90's was Northwich born and bred and went everywhere with them (fans would travel on the team bus to subsidise travel) and I went to midweek games and Saturday games if City weren't playing. They used to have cracking pies at the Drill Field

Only Ashton Athletic getting knocked out, though a couple of draws. Great results for Hyde United and Nantwich

1874 Northwich 2 Ossett Town 2
Nantwich 3 Nuneaton 1
Boston Town 2 Hyde United 3
Stockport County 3 Moston Rag Socks 3
Ashton Athletic 0 Chorley 1

Hyde were 1-0 & 2-1 down after being reduced to 10 men in the 1st half. Injury time penalty from Beadle for his hat-trick sealed the win.

4th Qualifying round

Solihull Moors v 1874 Northwich or Ossett Town
Chorley v Boston United
Stafford Rangers or AFC Telford United v Stockport County or Moston Rag Socks
Nantwich Town v Kettering Town
Buxton v Gateshead
Scarborough Athletic or Stratford Town v Hyde United
Stourbridge v Macclesfield Town

Saw the 1874 game.

1-1 all going into injury time when Ossett Town score a second. Cue OTT celebrations including goalscorer going into crowd and celebrating with the 20 Ossett Town ultras (but not getting booked) and Ossett Town supporter taking his top off and waving it around his head.

60 seconds later 1874 equalise. Cue Ossett Town supporter meekly putting his top back on.

Great effort by 1874 but it's a tough ask to get a result in the replay at Ossett Town on a wet Tuesday night etc.
