United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all supposedly refused the invite.
It still looks like it's regionalised North and South.Does anyone know if it'll be split into north and south as before or not? They haven't mentioned it in that article so I doubt it will be but does anyone know for sure?

I think that article is misleading, it says the format is confirmed but other media online (the daily fail twitter for one) say that United have definitely turned down the invite. They might have wanted to, but the BBC has already confirmed the teams who are in for next year, and the only PL teams who will not be competing are Bournemouth, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Hull and Watford.

That article just confirms the format of the competition and states the names of the first 16 invited Cat 1 academies, nowhere do they state that they've all accepted the invite. They're not going to devalue the comp before it's even started by suggesting that they might not all turn up. The BBC seem to be presuming to my mind but we'll see shortly I guess. No idea where the Daily Fail is coming from then, because the BBC are reciting information directly from the organisers themselves:

Yep, I'd love a group with us Rochdale and Tranmere. Two new grounds for me to visit and pretty local!Should be drawn soon.
Hope we get a local team away.
