Given he was only on a few minutes Unal looked promising. He put himself about and was looking for space all the time. He got fouled but if you can watch it again he shuffled the ball around really quick and had already put it past his marker and could have been off and running. Be interesting to see if he plays against Roma.

Damn forgot all about this! Anyone know if it will be available to watch later somewhere?

Good to see some young players get a run out. Nobody is talking about Humphreys and that only means that he was comfortable and had a great showing. But like most on show today, still has to continue to develop. It may be too early to vent frustration about Navas but he will be scrutinized this season because of the same issues. Yaya and Nasri did well and credit has to be given to Melbourne for putting an organized and spirited performance.

I believe we will see some promising prospects like such as Ihenachio, Lopes, Denayer and more of Pozo in the next match against Roma. These players will be looking to fight for a place in the first team squad. Sterling might even get a run out.

I was seriusly impressed with the youngsters, especially Barker and Garcia, and Iheanacho and Lopes didn't even feature, surely some of them must be included in the 1st team squad next season, or least in the cup games.
