I was watching only bits and pieces cos I'm at work but did Evans look great in the Fernando role. I thought he did and if so please keep him there for the next game :-)

He was very steady,did the job he was asked,you can see playing centre half has increased his awareness and improved his positional sense enormously.....i'm not sure how far he can develop,and,in all honesty,he'd probably be better off elsewhere while he does so.

You don't think he could be better than Fernando? I mean never go forward, make simple passes, know when to track runners and when to stop the man with the ball from passing.....sounds pretty easy :-)

My issue is....I don't think we've seen anything like the real Fernando.....i'd like to see how he does over the next few months if he gets the opportunity,however,thats a big if...... given our new purchases.
I suspect if the club received an acceptable offer he'd be gone,whether Evans,Bruno or ANother,from the ranks,is capable of surpassing him i'm not sure? do we even need a limited defensive 'specialist'? I certainly prefer my midfielders more 'complete'.
