Paul Merson

For anyone who's not seen it here's the full video.

Thompson, at the end, when asked by Stelling whom he would suggest, states any young British manager in the Championship because Silva doesn't know the league.

So Marco Silva doesn't know the Premier League, but all the young British managers in the Championship do?

OK.

Here we go again....the crackpot has spoken. Or have Sky made a a balls up on their prediction?

Crystal Palace v Man City - Saturday, 3pm

Palace do not need this game, they simply do not need this. City had a great result at West Ham in the previous round, we saw how strong they went at the London Stadium and I expect Pep Guardiola to go strong again at Selhurst Park.

PAUL PREDICTS: 3-0 (9/1 with Sky Bet)

Got to be wrong, I reckon Palace winning 3-0 would be about 50-1 not 9-1. Has to mean 0-3.

That's rather worrying.

Logic and Pinocchio have never been obvious bedfellows.

This may sound absurd but I think the soccer Saturday pundits should be judged by there previous weeks predictions and opinions!

They are allowed to sit and slag any manager and player they wish (basically anyone who isn't their mate) to a world wide audience, where many of the ill educated take their opinion as fact!
These "expert" pundits are allowed to judge everyone and everything and have no come back upon themselves!
I think on a show like soccer Saturday they should have a panel of 4 like they do currently, but have a pool of 6 pundits altogether. whoever out of the 4 gets the most wrong during that day is relegated from the show for the following week!
Some of the utter shite they are allowed to get away with is criminal! If They knew they were being judged they'd either shape up and perhaps engage their brain a bit more before speaking or theyd just be outed as a clueless fuck and soon be found out!
