Middlesbrough sack Karanka

What shocks me is that a team with such an appalling lack of attacking ability managed promotion in the first place.

He actually did a good job in getting them promoted - turned 'Boro from a mid-table or lower Championship side into promotion challengers within 12 months, plus it seems to have been forgotten that under him they deservedly knocked us out of the FA Cup at our place just over 2 years ago while playing some very good football.

It's this season where the problems have surfaced - I thought he would be savvy enough to keep them up and comfortably so but he appears to have lost it completely. Devoid of ideas, and devoid of goals yet he hardly gave Jordan Rhodes a chance and inexplicably farmed him out to Wednesday on loan, and moaning about a lack of transfer funds despite being backed both in the summer and January windows by one of the best club owners a manager could work for. Gibson is renowned for giving managers more time than most so Karanka getting sacked by him says more about Karanka than it does about Gibson.

Good don't like the miserable arse Steve Gibson deserves better, magnificent chairman

Think he's been angling for this for over a year, walking out then coming back, slagging off fans and generally pissing everybody off with his negative tactics, will get a decent payoff from Gibson, he was a twat though
