FA Cup could move to midweek to accommodate Premier League but replays unlikely to be scrapped soon - The Independent

Now, the Premier League is the most important competition. However the only better games in football is the FA Cup final itself than when we take a travelling army to somewhere in January on a Saturday afternoon.

I love those games. I'd hate for them to be moved to midweek.

And replays are a chance for struggling lower league clubs to get a replay and a payday out of a trip to a big ground.

Modern football is rubbish!

Midweek fixtures = the final nail in the coffin. RIP F.A. Cup if this happens.

the FA are bending over and letting the EPL kick there back doors in just leave the fa cup alone its not about the top level football teams its the dreams of the lower leagues and the tv companies BTsport and the BBC are taking the piss already with friday night and monday night games just play them at 3.00pm saturday like it meant to be

The FA Cup is the most prestigious and the Premier domestic club cup competition in the world
It is a jewel

Why denigrate it any further!!

It's part and parcel of the total and complete lack of vision by anyone charged with looking after the interests of the game - pick any from FICKFUFA, UEFA, and our own dear and glorious FArce and, between them, they will kill the game for more folk than perished in the two wars.
