Clive Allen never really hit the heights I expected. He did score a few good goals but I was hoping for more.

Quinn who signed later the same season achieved far more.

Demichelis is a player who I'd have put in the better than expected list.
Thought he was going to be past his best, but actually turned out to be a stalwart in defence in our title winning season.

Flitcroft showed real early promise but as was always the case in them days a bigger club with money would take our best players, oh how times have changed ;)
