Mr Clattenburg / The FA {merged}

What really makes me laugh out loud is you people think it's in the FA vested interest to side with Manchester United?

It's not all United, watch games without tinted goggles, things do go against Utd also 2 of the biggest bans ever given out to try and stop them, think about it.

Has it not crossed your mind how a team playing fairly crap for the most part of this season is at the top of the league ??

The rags have FOUR away victories this season in the league...

Away at Stoke...Neville should have been sent off, wasn't, and the rags came from behind to win.

Albion... Neville should have been sent off, a penalty awarded, it wasn't... the rags come from behind to win.

Wigan... Rooney should have been sent off... he wasn't, the rags run out easy winners after being under the cosh.

And Blackpool.. rags are 2-0 down, Blackpool should have had a clear penalty, they weren't... the rags come from behind to win the game.

Coincidence?

That's about 8 points. They would be just in front of City if the refs had done their job.

Did you know.....

United have had less penalties awarded to them than the top 9 PL teams this season?

And also, they have had 50% or less than the other teams in the top 5 in the PL.

Just sayin.

Until the FA becomes a completely impartial governing body, the stink that surrounds the game in this country will never go away.

Global TV deals based around certain highly marketable players from high profile clubs and England coupled with a board made up of key members from the same high profile clubs leads the vast majority of fans in this country firmly in the belief that rules can and often are applied in a very different way dependant on the players, clubs and managers involved....

...after all, millions don't tune in from across the globe to watch a Blackpool player do they?

No, they tune in to watch Rooney, Gerrard, lamapard etc and it goes against good business practice to take away the very stars that are generating the income from an audience that is paying huge amounts of money to watch.

Be honest, do you think Mr Gill would ever sit round a board table at a FA meeting demanding a touchline ban for Fergie as he possibly would do for any other manager who had broken the respect rule and slammed a ref post match?

The FA is not fit for purpose and it needs addressing now for the good of the game.

That's assuming city have not benefited from any point winning decisions this season.

"In 2008, Clattenburg was appointed to referee the FA Community Shield, with Dave Richardson and Ian Gosling assisting and Andre Marriner acting as fourth official.[16] However, Clattenburg was later suspended from refereeing, pending an investigation into alleged debts incurred by companies to which he is connected.[17] The match between Portsmouth and Manchester United took place at Wembley Stadium with Peter Walton as the replacement referee.[18]

Following the investigation into his personal life and business debts, the referees' governing body dismissed Clattenburg, citing a breach of contract. He denied all the allegations and appealed the decision.[19] On 18 February 2009 the Professional Game Match Officials Board reinstated Clattenburg as a Select Group referee. However, he had to serve an eight-month suspension, starting from his original suspension date of 6 August 2008. Upon his return from suspension on the last day of the Premier League season, Clattenburg refereed the fixture between Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers."

are you including berbatov's dive in the first minute against liverpool? webb's shit decision made sure united got past the 3rd round of the cup.

how many stonewall penalties have united not been awarded this season?

how many stonewall penalties have united's opposition not been awarded this season? (west brom spring immediately to mind).

'stonewall' is subjective. I'm giving you facts. It's your choice if you choose to ignore them but I can guarantee if United had been awarded the most pens, it would be used to support your 'evidence' and probably find it's way into an email to the FA.

Answer my point if you will please.

Do you think it right and proper that Gill sits on the board of the FA as well as that of Utd?

Surely a conflict of interest, especially when it comes to discussing possible action against his own club, manager or players?

Could it be possible that those bent gets at the FA instructed a certain referee Mr Atkinson to redress the balance last night.
This would take the pressure of Shrek and themselves in light of there incompetance.
Just a thought?

Haha, that was my immediate thought after seeing the incidents lastnight, although I thought it was more of a fuck off to clattenberk by the ref, as opposed to the fa
