:O. You're not allowed to like Oasis anymore!! Especially being a City fan!

Pfft.

Wow I was wrong about them!

They have just made some songs that aren't the same old shite they have been doing for years!

I must go out and get their album as soon as possible!

Yeah, I'm lying.....they are still shite!

And exactly which of these mundane ditties would have made it onto "Definitely Maybe"?
Proof,if we needed it,of a band in terminal decline.
Keep moving along people, nothing to see here...

bit harsh, not many ditties from anyone would get on one of "the" albums of the rock/indie genre

i'll give it a listen myself then decide rather than the biased anti oasis police views

Sorry tonea but I kind of though that bands should evolve and improve as they matured.
I seem to remember Oasis's role-models The Beatles doing just that.
I'm not "biased anti-Oasis" at all.
They just never moved forward, rested on their laurels and got lazy and complacent.
Hence the latest exercise in treading water.

oasis are always going to be on a sticky wicket trying to better their first 2 albums, where as the beatles first couple apart from the singles on them are pretty ropey,so they did get better with time(even if some of their later stuff was drug induced pap) in general consensus dont believe the truth was a back to form comeback. i appreicate in the main its standard oasis but that doesn't mean its pants.
its all about opinions.

the new single is good but not near their best. hopefully their new album won't disappoint as much the verve's new one has.

"Shock of the Lighting" is ok, but I really dig "Falling down"

TBH, Im not like all these cockney NME clowns who think they are music guru's. I just want to listen to good tunes. Experimental stuff is fine, but most of it is crap - see Radiohead, who, Im sure, intentionally fucked up their careers cos the soft bastards were scared of being really big.
