He's adapating in a similar way Pep has. Too often he has insisted on playing out from the back, and his team would get caught out, especially on these narrow pitches it's easier to continue pressing a backline.Took the plunge & watched them again the other night & a vast improvement.
Strange to see that apparently they had less possession, but they were defending deeper & with more passion & counter attacking, but the passing was also very good when they did have the ball.
Deffo seemed Vieira was doing his own thing rather than following the CFG method to the letter.
Instead, he has focused like City has on winning the second ball, when the GK kicks the ball out try to win it, if not try to go where the ball will land, then play your possession game.

I didnt see the game so i'm going off reports.......They came from behind to beat Minesota 3-1 last night.
The very highly rated Jack Harrison who,at 20 yrs old,seems to be developing into a brilliant midfield schemer,put them ahead and then David Villa scored their 3rd with a fantastic individual effort.Hererra had another solid game too,i believe.
