Newcastle to keep City fans up in the Gods

Geordies are missing a trick it's the banter between the fans that creates most of the atmosphere.

So what’s happening at Old toilet?
The away section at Old Trafford is just about the best anywhere. Being slightly further back from pitch side in a corner provides a much better view and than being stuck behind a goal where you lack depth perception of what’s going on and when you’re stuck on row3 somewhere and you can’t see the ball or feet of players up the other end of the pitch. I think you can also create a better noise in a corner as the fans are in a better position to hear chants that get going because of the L or C shape of a corner rather than being side on to each other.

Doesnt bother me. Might be a long walk but it’s a great view

I agree. I don't normally like being so far away from the pitch but at St James it's a really good view. You can see how moves are panning out, plus it's usually a good sing song after the match down all those flights of stairs with 3 points in the bag again. It's also much better now they've got rid of that tiny clock at the opposite end & put a screen in the away section.

Trafford may be good for the away fans, but it’s crap for the perception of the TV audience (except when we score .. the 1-6... ahh)... ie the main camera during the game never see the opposition fans, ditto at Newcastle.

But at city we have the opposition fans to the right of the goal, with the main game camera constantly panning over them, due to its positioning. And then the gap between home and away fans.
It’s the same issue with the ‘empty seats’ stand at the t’other end.

It’s about perception.

Away fans should have been stuffed up in the top right (from main camera position), out of sight.

Apologies if posted elsewhere, but Newcastle United managed to successfully appeal to keep away fans stuck up in Gallowgate Level 7 from next seson. They'd been given an exemption this season to avoid housing travelling away fans at pitch level. To be honest, the "security" excuse is a joke as we had pitch level for Keegan's homecoming game in the FA Cup. Don't remember trouble that day any different from the norm.
Get used to those never ending stairs !!

Not Gallowgate, Leazes End.

What is your beef with the FSF?
You hiss and moan and you constantly groan....

1. Ignoring united breaking the rules and only naming sunderland.

2. Taking credit for things that will never happen.

Constantly groan? Yep barbie fan.

How upsetting it must be for you that a bunch of do-gooding volunteers didn't quite pull it off as originally claimed and missing one stadium out.
Maybe you could put yourself up for election onto the National Council. Clearly a fan with your expertise and knowledge would be an asset to the organisation.

Oh, and at the next away game you go to, tip your hat off to the FSF for getting away tickets down to 30 quid. Not quite the ''twenty is plenty'' as campaigned but a damn sight better than the 50 and 60 odd quid being charged at many places.
