I truly despise that Godawful company , clapped out trains whose punctuality leaves so much to be desired, Jobsworth guards, Revenue protection Guerilla's who make Showsec look personable and constant fare increases, much as I hate to agree with 'Steptoe' Nationalising the railways might be the answer.

That may be true, but everything will remain the same plus no accountability and jobs for life.
The trains are like trolly buses from the fifties - how the fuck they were deemed suitable for public transport I've no idea.

Thanks for all replies.Think from what I have seen he will not have any kind of record and will end up paying a fine....and he can get a job in the summer to pay it me back!

It would make sense to all parties if they gave him a job for the summer.
