Can't understand why he doesn't go to Girona, strong championship, guaranteed play practice, a good opportunity to prove yourself.

guess so, possibly as lb cover? didn't he play as lb against WHU in pre season. Not ideal though.

He's not a LB, he will be cover in midfield, would rather see Delph as LB cover because he doesn't have the ball control or playmaking abilities of Zinchenko.

Spanish window is open for another day, he could still leave on loan to Girona or someone else.

That's a good point. Didn't see him in the reduced training video on the OS this week, was he called up for International duty, injured?

La Liga teams can use only 3 non-EU players.

Idk where does this nonsense about Zinchenko as LWB originate from. The guy is a genuine 8/10, very lightweight, gets pushed off the ball very easily and has no idea how to defend. Even as a midfielder, he's a liability defensive wise. You can use Foden, Brahim or Bravo as LWB with the same outcome.
Zinchenko plays in the same position as Bernardo, Silva, KdB, Foden, can be a wide playmaker like Bernardo, but that's it.

It's a shame that we couldn't get rid of the unwanted players - Zinchenko's and Delph's presence in the squad will limit minutes for Foden and Brahim, that's my main concern.
If Pep is going to use Delph and Alex in match squads (as he did in the last game), I wouldn't be surprised by Foden and Diaz following Sancho's way next summer.

    Yes.
Maybe a small chance in the cup games with clubs from the championship and lower leagues.
