I have seen reports that David Silva has gone to Spain to seek treatment from the national doctor.

Aren't our medicos any good? If not why do we employ them?

We can't hire a specialist in every aspect of medicine or we'd have thousands of medical experts for around 200 players and youth players at the club.

However our players and the club have the money to arrange an appointment at any time with one of those said medical experts.

Doesn't appear we have any experts in soft tissue injury that's for sure.

Players like to go back for treatment to doctors who have treated them before and who they trust.
They have a right to over-ride the wishes of the club in this respect. It is written into their contract.
Silva's ankle problem is a long term issue and it makes sense for the guy who has worked on him before to continue his treatment as long as the player has faith in him.
It is not a reflection of our medical set up.

I'm sure we have the best medical team we can have. You can't prepare for the hack on Silva, the KDB injury or Bony's bone inflammation.

I reckon we have the worst medical staff in the league - the warm up and stretching must be totally wrong with the amount of soft tissue injuries we have?
also every injured player is always out a lot longer than expected and we never ever have someone back quicker than expected?
