Past Players Pep would have loved to have had from our past

Here's one I don't think anyone's mentioned - Pep would have loved McManaman in his prime.

Cruyff called him "Un socio de todos" - the best partner to everyone on the pitch. Del Bosque said he was the most important part of that galacico's side because he united the whole team, and anyone Cruyff+ Del Bosque thought was that crucial to a team would undoubtedly be someone Pep liked.

Although I'm not sure he'd have loved the version of McManaman we actually got.

Del Bosque was saying McPointaMan was a nice bloke rather than crucial to the team. If memory serves he tried to sell him a year after he arrived and bought Figo instead

That would be unusual considering they played together on opposite wings for the vast majority of Figo's first season.

But Keith Curle would have been a player I think Pep would have improved and had all the attributes he required from a defender.

Kevin Horlock and Gareth Barry would have blossomed under him also

Upfront - Mike Sheron could have been interesting

Paul Lake and Pep would have sent him by private jet to his knee specialist in Barcelona to get it sorted , instead of Swales booking a 2nd class return air ticket for Lakey for his eight hour journey back from his treatment in America , he was so cramped he couldnt extend his injured knee , the good old days :)
