Pep. A better manager in Spanish than English?

He has no problems with the language at all, he just doesn't give a shit about the press and treats them with the disdain they deserve. That was the same in Spain and in Germany. He can despise worthless ****s in three languages

It fits the demonic intense genius image I had of Pep before he came. But I don't see it at press conferences. perhaps he is different with the players. At press conferences I think he struggles a little with the language. Perhaps it's the same with the English players, or do you think he does whatever it takes to get his point across?

Must be a bit of an obstacle for a manager to captivate and control his players when he has to do it in a different language?

Obviously not an insurmountable problem as he managed in Germany, and a 2nd year his English will be better.

Probably explains why so few English managers go abroad. They just can't communciate. We are so lucky. We don't have to learn another language when so many other people do, or maybe it holds people back not learning. The more skills you have and learning the better you can adapt. Somehow gone off topic!

A non-issue I think. He gets his personality across still I just think he struggles with our pathetic media asking the same pointless questions.

Our managers don't go abroad because they're generally thick as pig shit and barely talk English. Their football philosophy is largely barge kick trip and hack the opposition and kick it long. Doesn't work so well on the continent.

He's always been cautious and reserved in front of the press. His demeanour away from cameras seems to be completely different.

His language skills are perfectly good, he is easily able to communicate ideas so I don't think this theory floats.

If this had been a competition for guessing who posted this thread, I can honestly say that Marv would have been my odds-on favourite.

Legend.
