Phone Thread

Just keeping my battered s6 until next october (2018) and will then pick up the Pixel 3.

Bit crap the s6 compared to the Nexus phones i had before it.

I'm swapping phones on friday.
Got an s5 at the minute been a fantastic phone think I'm going to go for the s7 edge.
Anyone got one

You should get a good deal for the S7, as it's now an "old" phone.

However - you can't get a screen protector to fit this phone well due to the curve. If you are used to having one, you may want to think again. Also applies to the S7 as it curves slightly at the edges and the best glass protectors are a no-no/

I always get cheap phones, don't use it for much, music, occasional texts and tapatalk.

New Motorola G5 is out I think and seeing as my moto 3 has now exploded in a big ball of nothingness a trip out is in order.

I got the new s8 over the weekend it's a beautiful phone. So far the only thing I don't like is because of the longer screen some apps don't go full screen and leave borders but you can force them to go full screen if it allows. Google is trying to make all new apps fit the s8. Still don't like their built in player that doesn't play all codecs which again is annoying if you can't get full screen. Netflix has this issue too. Bixby is not fully functioning yet either

Due for a new phone this month. Probably get a Samsung or iPhone (again). Does anyone recommend anything else? Has to look the part and have good specs.

Have been with EE/Orange for 10 years. How successful has anyone been bargaining with them on monthly costs for 24 contracts? Or is there no flexibility?

I've had iPhone 3, 4s and currently got a 6. Recently had to to get a phone for 'im indoors who will really only use it for calls, text and email. Went for a Lenovo P2. Bought a PAYG from Three, cost £199 + £10 top-up. Signed up to a SIM-only account with Three (got a good deal @£10pm because I'm already with them). Three is great if you travel abroad because they have 40+ countries, including USA, covered by their Feel At Home offering so no humongous data-roaming charges.

The phone's terrific. So much so that when my iPhone6 bites the dust I will replace it with a P2. Good screen & fantastic battery life. The tech reviews all have a little moan about the camera compared to other offerings but if you don't use the camera or only want to take the occasional snap, why worry.

They should make a rubber one for heavy handed fuckers like me who manage to drop, break and destroy every phone we own!
