Tbh mate, I see them as two different types of players. KDB is a wide midfielder who can play inside if necessary and Nasri is a central midfielder who can play wide. If we're to get the best of either of them, they need to be deployed in their strongest positions.

This was one of the major issues we had last season where we were continually trying to fit square pegs in round holes and it didn't do us any favours.

Totally agree that Nasri is better in the middle mate. Roma away when he played there he was outstanding. Rarely seems to get a chance there though and usually does a decent job out wide.

From what I've seen and read of KDB, he's also better in the middle but a bit more direct than Nasri. I don't think he's got the pace of Sterling but obviously has an incredible final ball.

Agero, Silva, and Sterling pick themselves so there's potentially one more creative position available and if we sign KDB I struggle to see where Nasri fits in.

I think if we rid ourselves of Dzeko & Fernando and are fortunate enough to get KDB & Pogba, with a permanent change of formation to just using one striker and taking injuries, suspensions, rotations and loss of form into consideration, I think there will be ample opportunities for KDB & Nasri in the same set up.

The solutions to last seasons issues are right in front of us as the last few games proved. Someone posted a stat to show that Sergio scored over double the goals playing as a loan striker than with a partner and someone recently posted another stat that showed how much more effective we are using a loan striker which will come as no surprise to many of us. Using one less striker means using one more offensive midfielder and time and time again this has proven to be our strongest formation.

I know it was just a pre-season match but Arsenal tore Everton a new arsehole today playing with Ramsey, Ozil and Cozorla in central mid. I've never understood why we've needed more than one specialist defensive midfielder and I'm now convinced we can do so much better than the likes of Fernando & Garcia before him as our midfield anchors. Just because a player can tackle doesn't mean we have to have limited personnel where this is all they can mainly do.

I believe we shouldn't ever drop below the level of Fernandinho as a defensive/deep lying midfielded and that's why I was so happy that we signed Delph. Not because he's a world-beater, its because he offers so much more than Fernando which will make our midfield a more dynamic one and he also helps fulfil our home grown quota.
