Wasn’t Denis Law free second time round?

The backheel was worth millions alone!

Yeah I've never known a blue who thought ill of Hutch because of that, he always gave 100% , I think all three came under the banner of not appreciating what they did until they played for you (I suppose a bit like Gareth Barry) but I remember Tommy tying Kevin Ratcliffe in knots in one game and Ratcliffe eventually just stuck the nut in and got sent off :-D

    How about:
    Colin Bell £45,000
    Mike Summebee £35,000
    Francis Lee £65,000
    George Heslop £25,000
    Tony Book £10,000??
    Tony Coleman £5,000

    Glyn Pardoe Free
    Alan Oakes Free
    Mike Doyle Free
    Neil Young Free

Ken Mulhearn straight swap for Alan Ogley.

    That’s what I call a bargain team!

Think I can safely categorise the City purchasing eras into the following

    1- 79 pre Mal 2nd homecoming
    2- 82-95 post Mal
    3- 95 - 06 Pre Sheikh
    4- 06 onwards - now

    In which case

    1 Book or Tueart
    2 McCarthy or Reid
    3 Morrison or Goater
4 Silva Hart or or Kompany or Zabaleta

Big shout to Jesus as a future choice or Ederson or Bernardo

And that my friend is why everyone has different names of the players they think are/were a bargain! It's called opinions. :-)
