PLEASE SIGN..Hyde Road & St Marks Commemorative Plaques

Manchester City Council currently has absolutely nothing in place to mark the origins of Manchester City FC, either it’s birth as St Marks FC on Clowes St, West Gorton or Its first home ground on Hyde Road.
As the only Professional Football Club To spend its entire existence based & playing Home matches inside the Manchester City boundaries, this needs to be corrected.
After all, the council saw fit to erect a plaque on Bank Street, the former ground of a team that hasn’t played a Home game in the City since 1910?!?

That can’t be right....

Sadly we have not spent our entire existence playing home games inside the Manchester City boundaries...we played a UEFA Cup home game at Oakwell, Barnsley FC in 2008. Also, one of our grounds was in Manchester but isnt any longer due to boundary changes.... the Reddish Lane ground which was situated near the old Bulls Head Pub which was the clubs headquarters at the time. This was in the 1880s before MCFC was founded from Ardwick's demise in 1894. No i dont remember it...

There was a plaque on the former Aces Pub near to where St Marks Church was situated but i think this was nicked a few years ago before the area was redeveloped (yet again).

My first post on here, always on reading but this subject made me post. Just signed this as all my family grew up at st Marks grandad always said we are true blues and from gorton I did not understand this until I was older and found that he and his parents were baptised at St Marks.
