It's a pretty common phrase, stuff like this is why people take the piss out of the media bias thread and it undermines the actual case for bias.

Yet in the Liverpool v Plymouth game and today's rag v Wigan game the pundits were actively willing for those 2 media darlings to score bagfuls with the commentators in the former game complaining that Plymouth didn't attack enough and go toe to toe with the scousers.
Seriously mate it's transparent as fuck, no mention of empty seats today I noticed.
