Hardly as surprise, given the rumours that were going around at the back end of the season. Apparently, there was a lot of player unrest at the club; something about his training regime, IIRC.

They played really well in the league cup but after that their season just seemed to go phut.

I wonder if that is enough to keep van Dijk at Southampton for a season. Out of the bookies favourites Tuchel is an interesting choice although they could do with a couple of signings to make his style of play fully work.

Tuchel would be great for Southampton and PL. Rafa is back with Newcastle as well. Next season cant come soon enough

Right decision. The football under Puel was absolutely horrendous. Tuchel would be a great appointment if they could get him in.
