Just seen an unusual bird in the trees behind my house. It's about the size of a wood pigeon, has a sandy brown torso but with the tail and wing-tips of a magpie. Is it a specific breed or is it just some sort of wood-pigeon/magpie cross-breed?

Yes, congratulations. You have seen the lesser spotted Pigpie

This isn't going to end well.........
I thought long and hard before posting it!

Think it might be a jay.
