Question Time tonight

Sorry but she said, "why can't we deport terrorists?"

I've just asked, what if they're British and You've come back saying none of them have British sounding surnames so must be foreign.

I'm not sure what constitutes being British in your book but surnames isn't one of them

Try again, if a terrorist is found and is British, how do you deport them? Where do you deport them to?

If they retain dual nationality they can be deported.....

Citizenship stripping
The 2014 Immigration Act granted the home secretary the power to strip citizenship from dual nationals or from immigrants who have become naturalised citizens and are now fighting overseas, even if that renders them stateless. An individual can mount a legal challenge to the decision.
In 2015, five people were stripped of British citizenship on the basis it was "conducive to the public good".

On balance, I thought the audience gave better input than the panel. This included the lady who highlighted radical lreeching in some mosques.

Colin Parry was good re. Prevent and Andy Burnham, in his usual search to be popular, got the wrong end of the stick. Amber Rudd wasn't credible saying the number of police offers is irrelevant.

Burnham trying to be popular. Thats novel lol.
That man would turn up at the opening of an envelope if he thought it would get him some attention.

He deflected the conversation a couple of times citing the Jo Cox murder and seemed to be more interested in right wing extremism. Right axe wrong time different topic.

It's all relevant though, these terrorist acts are designed to bring fear to us and divide communities, pointing out that extremism can come from many areas and these people cannot be used to judge of a religion, race, or nationality is important to stress in any of these debates, the last 3 acts of terror in this coumtry have been 2 by people claiming suppprt for ISIL and 1 by a neo nazi all 3 though by evil murdering bastards

I have done the prevent training and safeguarding, and we did a day with the local police specialist on preveent which was much more helpful than the guidelines set out in the actual training we did on it and the statergy itself which.

Seperately from this reply, the disbury mosque leaflet waver, I have worked opposite that place and seen people handing out leaflets in the car park, he may well have been given this, but the mosque may not have been aware, only he knows, I will say it has many open days and used to have a big sign inviting all faiths in for tea and community get togethers, but it has a lot of visitors, so it's not impossible that this leafleting hasn't happened.

All in all a very good question time.

Yep.

Also, he keeps talking about community cohesion but the reason we have a multi-cultural city is because we have just got on with our lives and not really talked about the politics.

We don't need to keep being told to
Get on together, by Andy or anyone else. As the poet from the vigil highlighted, it's our interest in music and football and our spirit that prevails.

All in all a very good question time.

There were 3 Muslims in that studio that said that some mosques were actively causing extremism by their rhetoric. This was primarily a discussion on what happened in Manchester and the ways we can deal with that, he deflected so he didn't have to deal with the question properly he just launched into the same spiel a lot of politicians give. The problem vote snatching politicians have is that they are not even listening to the Muslim community when it comes to rooting out extremism.
If anything last nights question time showed us that between Rudd and Burnham jingoism is more important than action.

Rudd calling 8 year olds in school
hate criminals (however unpleasant verbal bullying is) even surprised me.
