Rag pudding?

Can anybody tell me what a rag pudding is? Saw this in oldham and it tickled me

There is a chippy in Urmston called Whittakers that does something similar . It is made in Rochdale and is called a Jacksons pudding , tastes gorgeous if you are into steamed puddings. Good comfort food .

Over the mumps roundabout, head towards greenfield, there is a co-op pharmacy on the right hand side and the chippy is just behind it. Looks scruffy as fuck mind. I took a picture using my iPhone and want to add it but I don't know how to do it!
