    Tonight's ref must have lost that memo. He booked the Derty ****s.

    Again we see an impartial European ref have a very good game.

    PL should ditch our current crop and bring them in as the supposedly best league in the world deserves the best officials.

    He did very well tonight apart from those 3 yellows in 2 minutes, the forwards lunge was a red.

    I though he did very well, they were obviously becoming frustrated and started to put in a few late challenges. The ref booked them straight away, 3 yellows in succession for fouls and he let the players know that was it, you are not going to get away with it. Excellent authority from the official, sadly refreshing to see from our point of view.

    That non red bothered me as I see similar action/fouls like this in matches and it's the sort of dangerous play that red cards should be given for. Else, what is the message you are sending to players when they do this? Wait until the player is injured?
