Ripping songs from youtube

I was gonna put "help needed" in the thread subject, but we all know I need help anyway and it's just not fair for all my threads to have help needed. Anyway, I digress (yes - wanted to use that word for time innit)

How the bejaysus do you rip audio off youtube?

I usually download the video from a youtube downloader site, open the video in windows movie maker or anything like that, delete the video part on the timeline, so you are just left with the audio

in the space at top of page, copy n paste the url from the address bar of the tune you want to rip

now in the drop down box tab, select mp3 format....now click start


also you can download a stand-alone version of the programme from here >>> http://www.vixy.net/app/download/windows...this also allows you to select the output file location, etc



there is also another stand-alone version i use...bearing in mind vixy will only rip the tune at whatever quality it is on the youtube site...with this other programme i use, you can also clean up the bitrate by selecting higher bitrates before download. get it here >>> http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/download/FreeYouTubeToMP3Converter.exe
