Are they in CL?

If they are I wonder which group UEFA will bung them in...?

No. Russia has two CL places - the champions go through automatically to the group phase and the runners-up play in the 3rd qualifying round. Zenit finished third in the loeague in the season just ended, a point behind 2nd placed CSKA Moscow. That's basically why they sacked the previous coach. They have the biggest budget in the league and don't expect to miss out on the CL.
