Roberto Mancini - next Italy manager

89 points in the league with a much weaker squad than any we have had since. Hard to beat, organised and got the maximum out of his players. All achieved after 2 and a bit years. Thanks Bobby Manc

All I know is every time he talks about City in the media, he talks about "us" and "we". He is a Blue at heart, and he loves us as much as we loved him!

Just in case anyone's interested, here's a preview of Zenit in the coming season on an English-language Russian football site: http://russianfootballnews.com/season-preview-zenit-st-petersburg-2/

The writer is a Zenit fan and he seems quite optimistic about Mancini generally.

The season kicks off on Sunday and Zenit travel to face newly promoted SKA Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East - an air travel distance of just under 4,000 miles, which means a 7-hour flight there and another one back. Suppose at least they get the trip out of the way early in the season.

I'll try and keep an eye on how things are going for Roberto over here and post occasional updates. Wish him well.
