He's never had it in him to be a world class player and never will. On a good day an effective, good premier league player. On a bad one, a luxury.

Well he's 10x the player ox-Chamberlain is so 15m is pretty good business. We will see how he does with better teammates/coaching. Skill and technique have never been his problem and I think under Pep he could have learned a lot. Conte is a good manager so lets what he can do.

If you have a look through the thread you'll discover it isn't.

Personally i think he's far too inconsistent and doesn't command a certain position,however,he's still young enough to develop so for 15m,i'm in the 'its' a good gamble' camp.

Disagree tbh just because although similarly talented, Chamberlain has places he can play where being a bit average can still be helpful. Barkley is an out and out number 10, who isn't good enough to be a number 10 even at Everton. Can he play anywhere else? No evidence suggesting he can. Can he be good enough to warrant playing in the most highly prized position in any team? Nope.

He's a luxury player who isn't good enough to warrant being a luxury.

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't really rate Barkley that much. Think he's decent aye, but there are just as many questions against him as there are for him IMO. Certainly worth the risk I suppose though for 15m.

Loads of talent but he doesn't have a brain. He would be dreadful in a team managed by Pep.

Would have been perfect for someone like Swansea, to replace Sigurdsson. Where doing fuck all for 90 minutes but occasionally banging one in from 25 yards is good enough to be worth keeping in the team
