I know there are a significant number of BM forum members who follow non-league football so thought I'd let you know about a discussion I'm chairing at the National Football Museum on Saturday night (6.30pm). Details and tickets here: https://www.quaytickets.com/fwf2017...ticle_id=72F83926-AB25-4D3B-BB74-47B39A69BD83
"Join host Gary James (Manchester: A Football History) for a non-league special at the National Football Museum. Guests include Nige Tassell, whose Bottom Corner: A Season With The Dreamers of Non-League Football is a must-read for hopeless football romantics everywhere.
John-Paul O'Neill, whose Red Rebels: The Glazers and the FC Revolution comes out this September, will be discussing what happens when fans start a club at the bottom of the football pyramid.
Simon Hughes’ On The Brink: A Journey Through English Football’s North West Heartland looks at the whole spectrum of clubs existing, thriving, and sometimes struggling in the shadows of football megabrands here in the North West."
I hope to see a few familiar faces there. Should be an interesting night.
