Operations Director, Danny Wilson, commented: “The support and loyalty of our fans, both longstanding and new, is something we’re extremely proud of. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Etihad Stadium for the new season.”

Is is breaking new on Skysports so the brainless fans of other teams realise we do actually sell out our season tickets of around 44k every year.

No, as minus the away fan allocation, that still leaves 7000 empty seats, and 500 Tunnel club empty seats. ;-)

Haha and the 2000 thousand no show season ticket holders as well it will look like half filled stadium

It's fair to say SS £229 and value gold have been snapped up.

Now just imagine if any NS expansion, if it ever happens now, was priced accordingly.

Create a safe standing lower tier(trials about to take place at Shrewsbury), move the family stand to the front of of the 3rd tier. Give the kids a great view. After all, they are our future support. And make the remaining seats in the 3rd tier all £299. Bingo! An atmosphere(safe standing), the kids sorted, and 6000 new Match going City fans.

They won't move the family stand to the front of the 3rd tier as the concourse area is specifically designed for the younger audience, and they'd have to share it otherwise. Don't think they want little kids walking up that many stairs either.

Options could be to move it further around the 2nd tier so that it goes from behind the goals to then down the sides in a horse shoe shape. Doubt they'd want the lost income from losing the current more expensive 2nd tier seats though. It'd go over an area they will properly eventually make corporate as well like the 93:20 bit.

Maybe to the north west and north east corners, stretching around slightly into the CB and ES?

Directly behind the goal on the lower tier could then have a standing section as could the south stand.

They have been on open sale /waiting list for 4 weeks, obviously no more takers and like most games we "sell out".

Maybe they should price them better rather than go for publicity stunts like this?
