Sergi Roberto

Had a 35m Euro bid turned down by Barcelona for him according to Twitter and MEN picked up on it too ....we could of included him in the Toni Duggan deal

maybe levy has taken the piss too much with the walker deal?

Hasn't right back been a problem area for barca? If he's not good enough for them we shouldn't be spending that sort of money on him. He didn't look good in the champions league games I saw.

Barcelona made it very clear that Sergi Roberto was not for sale and City have ended all interest as a result. [Mundo Deportivo]

Thank god, they can keep him. We made an absolute mockery of him in our win at the Etihad. Terribly overrated.

He's not upto the required standard. If he didn't come through their academy he'd be nowhere near Barca.

Absolutely 100% bollocks story planted by Barcelona board to muddy the waters because of a ticket scandal which is again likely to put them under huge pressure from supporters. Pep and his team furious with the tactic as they obviously know the boy and know the Barca board are constantly trying to smear them in the Catalonian press and trying to make out Pep's trying to destabilise the club. All politics.

If there's truth in this then it makes you wonder how far along the other deals are that certain people believed to be nailed on.
I think Alves is probably done but maybe the Walker deal isn't going as hoped.

Read about that ticket thing in the paper this morning. It goes like this: unused (season) tickets for a game can be given to the club, who then sell it to the public at the original price. The money is split between the club and the original ticket owner. In theory. It has been found out the club had sold the tickets for much higher prices, and pocketed the additional money. Nice.

Yep. Not trying to big myself up here at all but it says a lot that I received that message almost verbatim about an hour ago unsolicited. Goes without saying that the current Barcelona board loathe Pep/Txiki etc and know that it's the only way they can get any sympathy is by trying to con the supporters into thinking Pep's trying to destabilise them.
