After this summers SUPERB window; I went a bit sad and decided to create a spreadsheet. I was interested to see who we have signed and when? I couldn't remember a few and what year for others. Nicked it off a website but put together in a list format since SM took over. Thought I would share (don't slate me for values/format/mistakes/there already is one, but you can correct me if you want or let me know if there is an accurate one on here). Anyway for a simple copy and paste job thought I would share

Almost all of the players (all bar Robinho) that were signed in Summer 08 were before the takeover.

Tried to be brutal, you're either Hit or Miss. Based purely on performances and whether they contributed to something on the pitch, price we paid may come into it if they contribute very little but price tag they were sold for won't. Boateng for example is a miss, despite us making profit on him.

Mangala and Nastasic we tough choices but more miss than hit, given their longevity for us. Fernando also tough, played a big part in that CL run but not been enough on the whole. Otamendi I was undecided on, I think he's alright but only looks good with Kompany but benefit of the doubt given his defensive company when Vinny isn't there. Fulop could maybe be a hit on the basis we were fucking desperate for a keeper but don't think thats enough to be a hit.

Whoever made those purchases in the Summer of 2012 deserved the sack, they were fucking awful.

Gunnar Nielsen most certainly did play for us. Came on against Arsenal when Given got injured (the reason we signed Fulop)

Great analysis. Re takeover the rumour was that Taxi (skint) was in bed with shieky that window and the funds for Jo Sweep etc were indeed part of the deal so I will include. I am not including loans and will update the missing persons sometime. Thanks!

Whilst I agree with most of that, Javi Garcia took a while to get going but he's another one we shipped out just as he found his feet. He played some great games in our second title. Most notably when Vincent got sent off against hull and he dropped into the back 4 with demichelis. Was brilliant that day. Also, glad you put the resigning of sweep in the hits even though that came before take over (along with benjani and caicedo whom Sven signed). Swp coming back is one of my top 5 favourite transfers of the last decade. My all time favourite player. The brace at his first match back at Sunderland. Swoon.
