Silly number plates

In the early '70s I used to see a Jenson in Manchester with the plate XTC 1 which I always thought was great.

There used to be a lady that drove around where I used to live who had a normal number plate, but the printed bit along the bottom which is a usually a garage name etc said ' My ex is a wanker'.

Sheer statistical probability suggests that the ex posts on the Matchday thread.

How do you know she was a lady and not an old whore?

Well, she was young and never once did I have to pay her .

Was driving my kid to training and a Lexus SUV was out in front of me with a vanity tag 1FITMOM. Naturally, I figure if you're going to make a claim that audacious on a moving billboard, you must be bringing the goods. So I spent the next several miles trying to catch up to the passenger side window as the rear windows were darkly tinted. Finally she wants to make a double lane change to turn right and slows down and I finally get a good look at her from my rear view. 1FITMOM turns out to be absolutely bang average. Must have done it as some sort of a joke? Like the overweight guy that everyone calls Slim?

I saw a licence plate in Salt Lake City that said 'ManCity' , I gave him a wave.

Can't see wht anyone would ever pay money for such pretentious bullshit

I have seen a 4x4 on Teesside bearing the plate FU 2 - charming I thought - not. Also so a tidy 40 something lady driving M 1 LFY - wondered if her partner was having a laugh at her expense ? Couldn't see a lady choosing that herself? I seem to recall 70's soft porn actress Fiona Richmond had a Capri reg PEN 1 S - which is a Manchester number? Issued by the Trafford licensing office?
