Sky go question

If I buy a HDMI adaptor for my phone or tablet, will the Sky go app work on my TV if I connect my devices to it?

The screen mirroring will not work and I was wondering whether connecting a device via an adaptor and HDMI would get round it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Edit - my tv's and devices are all Samsung

Sadly not. There’s some sort of block inside the app to prevent this.

That said one of our tech experts may know of a work around!?

You might be able to do that from a laptop to a TV screen though. If it's via the web I'm not sure how they could stop it.

I have used it through a PC attached to the TV through HDMI, you can buy mini PC's no bigger than a set top box where you can utilise a SKY GO account.

I connect my MacBook to the the tv through an HDMI cable .... It works fine

has anybody else had trouble with the picture blurring when using sky go to watch live football, it used to be perfect but now its unwatchable for about 60mim of th game on and off
