Sky Sports Relaunch- New and Exclusive Channels for Football

The big issue is that sky are currently paying over the odds for football. They pay more than it's worth to the premier league to snare in the rest of your contract.

If the prem took it in house and put it at €100 per season, they'd clean up. But sky have no doubt matched or bettered their forecasts on doing this.

I have UFC fightpass and NFL gamepass and would happily take a prem one.

this, if there was a PL network like there is say WWE Network, then it would be perfect. With pay-per-match or subscription options (or a mix), plus add in an UEFA/FIFA bundle and other leagues collaboration and it would be perfect. Exclusive rights to 3rd parties as a selling point should be a thing of the past.

I'm an expat, and I would happily pay for an English-language reliable streaming service for the Premier League

The Football League is bringing in a service for their clubs where you pay £110 per season to be able to watch all of their teams games live for overseas viewers, except for those that are televised in the relevant country that the viewer is watching from, and it's a surprise that the FL are rolling it out before it happens in the PL (those of us in the UK/Ireland/Channel Islands/Isle of Man have to wait until 12pm the following day to watch the games but can access live commentary that'll be the local radio version).

It's a joke how the lower divisions are actually more progressive than the English Premier League.

Trapped in greed and old ways, maybe until it's too late and people have switched off?
Older generations of people will have dishes on the side of their house, paying stupid money for a load of advertising and channels which won't be watched, just to have access to live football.

Will future generations put up with this?
Not a chance.

Yep your right younger generation will not pay stupid money every month when they know they can get it a lot cheaper. Like the music industry had to change football will have to change.
