Some things never change. Police apologise for their lies

anyone remember the "incident" involving the police and fans at The Moon Underwater on Deansgate when the police steamed in mob-handed and handed out arbitrary attacks on anyone unlucky enough to be there? The M.E.N. published a letter sent by a senior police officer from the Sheffield force who was there as a member of the public saying how unacceptable their actions were but also , against strict rules, the lack of police badges/numbers on display. He also stated that he would be demanding a full inquiry. The silence was deafening, to the surprise of no-one.
Unaccountability is flourishing, thanks to the likes of murdoch and the mail/express fake news propagandists. The BBC are black-mailed into subservience by the government with the threat of losing it's license income, when that kettling incident in london resulted in the death of a man, video evidence of the officer assaulting the victim was refused four times by the bbc, who had previous for siding with the police when they doctored video evidence to show miners charging the cavalry at Orgreave, but again no-one was sacked. How can an apology ever excuse blatant lying? Ah well, time for a pint and a packet of cheese and onion knuckle-dusters..........
