Like above, I think the easiest way would be get to get a piece of software which records the music going through the sound card. I used to have one but can't for the life of me remember what it was called, sorry.
Get the Ask Toolbar
(as in Ask Jeeves)
it records audio as it plays and video too.
you can turn them on and off in case you dont want to record everything
This is what you need.

record the track as it plays then export it as an MP3 to your hard disc. Don't forget to also download the Lame MP3 decoder from there as well or it won't encode MP3s.
Ripping of Spotify is pointless, the sound quality would be as good, you may as well download a torrent client or just find what your looking for through rapidshare etc.
