Spurs 2016/17

He has had a poor season compared to last year. Many mistakes. Much better in midfield than as a centre back.

But he is English, its United, its Levy. So he is worth £60m.

Footballs a funny old game when it comes to results.

Tottenham are better than Liverpool just as we're better than Liverpool but couldn't beat them this year.

Like all mid table teams the games against the big teams like City, Spurs and even Everton are now their cup finals. It makes them feel relevant.

Do any Spurs fans rate Dier as a £40million player?
Decent player but not worth silly money. Good thing about Dier you can put him anywhere and he will do a decent enough job, although this season as JPBB said he's not been at his best this season. Dier can play right back, centre back or protecting the defence, he's not bad at a free kick either but that's more Eriksen's domain.

Not many.

Equally, I doubt that many would want Spurs to sell him - even for £40m. He is an important member of the squad and a big reason why Spurs were so solid last season. Wanyama has been a revelation this season but if he were ever to be injured, Dier can easily slot back into midfield.

He also has a fantastic mentality. Won't take crap from any opposition player. Passionate desire to win. The kind of attitude that Spurs have lacked far too often in the past. Definitely a Poch kind of player for that very reason.

Also helps that he and Alli share a great bromance. More reason for them both to stay.
