Team of the season so far

Mourinho or Dyche for coach?
Both done a pretty good job neither suspected of doping either financial or pharmaceutical.

I am going Pep Vs the rags where you know you will dominate and do not need many defenders.

Ederson
Stones
Christensen
Otamendi
Ferny
Silva
De Bruyne
Coutinho
Sterling
Salah
Kane

3-1-3-3 formation

I genuinly think its ederson for the keeper, though im aware i may have blue tinted specs on.
All the ‘experts’ have the default setting of the donut thief but hes been far from convincing this season where as ederson has been central to what weve done, shot stopping and setting attacks up

When the shots are raining in, the Donut Thief has proved he can stop shots, just like Joe Hart, and a good number just by sticking a Size 15 out. When you have a defence that isn't troubled and you want to play football, Ederson is yer man.

I've seen many of these popping up recently:

There's some fairly straight forward picks like, De Bruyne, Salah and Kane. Where as some positions are harder to pick such as LB and CB.

Here's mine (4-3-3):

De Gea, Walker, Otamendi, Tarkwoski, Delph, Fernandinho, Silva, De Bruyne, Salah, Kane, Sterling.
Had a look at the goal one. I expect all of the ‘team of the season’ to pick De Gea however, these journalists are still missing the massive contribution Eddie is making to us with his feet. I would go out on a limb and say he is the biggest difference between last season and this. I think our best team with Eddie in it would beat any of these teams of the season with De Gea in them despite Eddie not being in the same league yet as a shot stopper.

Nobody goes above Stones. Not even Ota as good as he is doing.

In my view it is bias not to have Kane he deserves to be in there, him and Salah have had an amazing season to date and 2 of the stand out players in the league (we all know KDB is THE stand out player)

On a keeper we would not be where we are and playing the way we are without Ederson. Whereas De Gea has made some very good saves he has not had the impact Ederson has on the overall play. He has also been at fault in my view for some goals recently so feel it is Ed all the way!

I think whilst Delph has performed above expectations it is a push to say he is the best LB. I don’t watch enough of other games to really give an opinion on who is better but I would be surprised if a specialist LB is not our performing him, especially as he is limited going down the line offensively. That said from the little we saw off a fully fit Mendy he would have been in there.

Outside of this, there is a possible argument for a different CB just based on Stones being injured, but he was the best CB up until that point they are all City players (but look at the table, it’s not a surprise).

Gotta love Pep!!
