The main gripe i hear off Liverpool fans isn't that we've 'nicked' their top 4 spot, it's more that we make it more difficult for them to acquire high calibre players now.
And it's now necessarily cos we are getting their targets, but by us getting other players that maybe would have gone to Chelsea, Rags or Arsenal those teams then target potential Liverpool targets.
This then pushes them down the food chain, and they end up getting 'B' listers instead of 'A' listers required so they can compete to get in the top 4.

That's true but tbh from 2007 onwards Torres and Suarez aside their recruitment has been abysmal.

No wonder spurs fans hate us so much

Well if any club's fans have a reason to it's them tbf. Not that I give a shit what the whiny deluded cunts think. Hopefully in a few years time they'll be whining about the Hammers stealing 'their' Europa League spot.

Following the arrogant tossers I met at the train station after the Cup Final in '81, yes I do bare grudges a long time, they can go and fuck themselves, really hard

The same Spurs who were all for a breakaway league to grab the lion's share of TV money!
And although in the end their chairman, Mr Sugar went for Sky instead of ITV, it was hardly an altruistic decision when his Amstrad boxes were used by Sky.

Funny how they were happy to play the big money card back then, but don't like it now. Sod 'em!

I have no sympathy for them whatsoever

Stolen a post from another forum
"Everton are being run in to the ground because the board have borrowed against every single penny of future revenue, assets, property, merchandise.. you name it, we've already borrowed against it.

The 83m from the record TV revenue deal? Sold two years ago for a 10m loan.

Player sales? already borrowed against them as "future assets"

Training ground? Re-mortgaged twice then sold.

Replica kit sales? 5m per year regardless via "Kitbag" ( no, me neither)

Future Season ticket sales and current season ticket sales? pay off a Vibrac loan along with the TV money

It's being whitewashed by the Kenwright friendly press. Everton are so close to bankruptcy even in this day and age with record revenue, because the board are so short sighted and they have gotten away with it for the past 16 years due to shady dealings by Robert Elstone and Robert Earl. Kenwright is pretty much powerless at this point. They've sold every single assest out for 10m or so per year to offshore companies, the directors of which are those on the board, with massive interest rates.

The media would have you think that Everton supporters want some sort of miracle billionaire to come in and spend fuck loads. It's not the case at all. What we want is our incompetent board to be held accountable to 16 years of financial shenanigans, false promises, player sales and media rubbing.

When you see Palace, Bournemouth, Stoke, West Ham etc spending 30m plus in the window and knowing that the only thing Everton from ending the window with a few free players and a couple of loans is the sale of John Stones or Lukau it's only right to ask questions from it.

Yet, when the fans ask what's going on, we get treated with the "waaaaaa waaaa waaaa.. poor you, would you rather be Portsmouth or Leeds" shit, which totally isn't the case at all.

We're the worst run club in the Premier League, by a mile. It's just that no-one see's it and outside of the hardcore fans, no-one cares.

The problem is that the fans who are aware or arsed about what is going on, are in the minority. When the plane was out in the Southampton match, it was booed by some and the media said " Well, they won 3-0, what are they moaning about"

Ad Everton fans, protesting against the board is seen by the majority as "Kopite behaviour" so it gets shouted down.

Every time you mention something about Bill Kenwright and wanting him to go, you get shouted down by either

a) He's a blue through and through so we need him

or

b) Would you rather be Leeds or Portsmouth?

Whenever we start to complain about the way the club is being run, the press come out with friendly Kenwright articles in his defence, yet they conveniently omit the facts.

The board have also banned AGM'S for shareholders for the past 5 years or so, and have banned "unfriendly press" from post match or Finch Farm

If you're interested, there's a decent article herehttp://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/everton-fans-view-after-years-6250933 (The Mirror stole the article from somewhere else btw)

Edit : check out the comparisons here

In 2004, after Wayne Rooney lit up the European Championships in Portugal, Bill insisted that he would not be sold, “not even for £50m”. Rooney was eventually sold to Manchester United on deadline day for a meagre £10m upfront after he handed in a transfer request.(The Rooney money saved us from going in to administration, again, ignored by the press at the time)

Arsenal had enraged Everton with an opening offer of £5m, which was laughed out of Goodison Park and when they returned with £10m, it was still too low. Wenger had previously shown an interest in the Everton centre-half Phil Jagielka, for whom he was quoted £20m, and it was made clear that Arteta was rated in a similar bracket.

But the situation turned abruptly when Arteta asked to leave, having had his head turned by Arsenal's interest and the chance to play Champions League football with them. Everton felt powerless to keep him and they were forced to accept the £10m. "Mikel indicated to me that he wished to join Arsenal", said Moyes
We never saw a penny of that money reinvested in the team.

- The Everton fans questioning this were accused directly by Bill Kenwright of betraying Everton.

Everton’s determination to hold on to John Stones despite Chelsea’s firm interest in signing the defender has been reiterated by the club director Jon Woods, who claimed neither he nor Bill Kenwright, the chairman, will sell .

And then wonder why the Everton fans are bothered about where any money for the sale of Stones will go."
