The French Presidential Election

Neither are any such thing, whereas the groups opposing them are far more fitting of the description.

Both want to reduce the control of the state in everyday life unlike the democrats who want to make more people dependent on it, as do the Socialists in France.

Freedom of speech is supported by both and actively opposed by their opposition who attack anyone not of their narrow ideals and refuse to accept election results when they dont favor their side.

The left loves identity politics, but they simply do not comprehend people have woken up to the bullshit, you can oppose mass immigration without being a "Racist", its not "Homophobic" if a baker does not want to bake a f*cking cake celebrating a way of life his personal beliefs do not agree with, " Islamophobia" is a natural reaction for an ideal that is a threat to every other way of life, and a bloke in a dress is a bloke in a dress no matter what he wants to be called.

So Edin Dzeko is a threat to "every other way of life?" Samir Nasri? Yaya Toure? Kolo? Anelka? Benzema? Ribery? Are they fuck.

You're chatting absolute shit if you think that general outright Islamophobia is justified because there are Muslim terrorists.

"Islamist" and Muslim are two separate things as you should have gathered by now, none of those you mentioned are "Islamist" by any stretch of the imagination, how the Muslim faith has been hijacked as a front by these stone aged clowns is only helped by lumping them in with these barmpots instead of calling them what they are.

The term “Islamophobia” was invented and promoted in the early 1990s by theInternational Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT), a front group of the Muslim Brotherhood. Former IIIT member Abdur-Rahman Muhammad -- who was with that organization when the word was formally created, and who has since rejected IIIT's ideology -- now reveals the original intent behind the concept of Islamophobia: “This loathsome term is nothing more than a thought-terminating cliche conceived in the bowels of Muslim think tanks for the purpose of beating down critics.” In short, in its very origins, “Islamophobia” was a term designed as a weapon to advance a totalitarian cause by stigmatizing critics and silencing them.

But Islamophobia doesn't necessarily just mean prejudice against the Islamist movement, it can also mean prejudice against the religion and Muslims in general which isn't justified just because some Muslims are terrorists. It's semantics but they are important.

No it does not, it was the Islamists who came up with the term and said it included Muslims as a way to put themselves in a much larger group that they share some common ground with, a Muslim could give two f*cks for strapping on a bomb and expecting 72 virgins to be waiting, its Islamists that happen to claim to be Muslims that are terrorists.

Yes semantics are important, that Muslims follow Islam is a huge difference to an Islamist who is a Muslim.

Wholeheartedly agree with both parts of that post
She's a nasty piece of work Le Pen and not the way forward for France.

I still would tho..

We are talking about the Le Pen niece right?

I don't think much of your right wing sources if they attribute the term to an Islamic group founded in 1981 and the OED cites its use from 1923.

I dont care much for those who pander to the idiocy that one word encompasses two totally opposite views, the people who need to be worried about may well be Muslims, but they are Islamist's first, you may as well claim that militant lesbians are women while conveniently forgetting your mum does not wear builders boots, a check shirt, and hate all men.
