Fuck me. 38 points from 35 games. Or pro-rata 41 pts from a full season.

As I said in another thread, cup competitions can flatter teams, or be unkind to them based on flukey results and bad refereeing etc. But you can argue with the Premier League - performance measured home and away, good weather and bad, decisions for and against, injury's and returns from injury. After 38 games your points total tells you *exactly* how good or bad you are.

41 points = bottom 4 and conceivably bottom 3. We'd better fix this and FAST!
