I woke up this morning thinking that I would have that depressed feeling that we City fans have basically had for so many years. But, in fact, I felt very differently after thinking about the semi-final loss. I believed, for most probably the first time in my 40 years of supporting City, that we really do have a great deal to look forward to. In all my time as a fan I have kept up a brave face and argued for City's cause but, deep down, I did not really believe things would change much. But now I really do believe in what the future holds for us and it has given me a very positive feeling this morning. I will go out today and look at the United fans and listen to their rantings and will see them in a completely different light....like the final roars of a dying dinosaur. Their euphoria last night in beating supposedly a ''small club with a small mentality'' said an awful lot about how worried they are. It seems that they may also realise what the future holds.
